Dzenia. Halyna Zhehulska

White Space Bohdana Khmelnytskogo 62B, Kyiv, Ukraine

Halyna Zhehulska (born 1957), or as her friends and acquaintances called her — Dzenia, is a Ukrainian artist who mainly worked in the field of abstract graphics and was a significant part of the underground art community of Lviv in the 1970s and 1980s.

Alexander Dubovik. Self-portrait

For more than 5 years Stedley Art Foundation has been researching the artworks of Alexander Dubovik, studying his archives, sketches, notebooks, theoretical works. This allowed a deeper understanding of the author, to see how his work has changed, how philosophy has become more complicated since the harsh sixties. An exhibition in the White Space of the Stedley Art Foundation to coincide with the author's birthday and the publication by the foundation of two books dedicated to the artist's work. The exhibition of one work - 'Self-portrait' 1967 - is designed to stop us in this turbulent world and invites you to spend time in dialogue with one of the most interesting Ukrainian people of the sixties.

The exhibition of the young Ukrainian artist Vitaliy Kokhan. His artistic practice includes various media – installation, sculpture, land art, artworks on canvas. His artistic method is similar to the work of an a new age archeologist, who digs for medium, texture, colour, and signs in the ancient ruins of the past generations.

Specially to the release of the ‘Mykola Trokh. Enfant Terrible of Ukrainian Photography ' the author Valery Sakharuk jointly with our foundation puts on view the project 'Pornographic Series of Mykola Trokh'. The exhibition presents the reconstruction of the triptych 'Pornography as a mirror of our life' 1995 and the significant photo series of the nineties – 'Schoolgirls', 'XYZ', 'Sadomazo'.
