For more than 5 years Stedley Art Foundation has been researching the artworks of Alexander Dubovik, studying his archives, sketches, notebooks, theoretical works. This allowed a deeper understanding of the author, to see how his work has changed, how philosophy has become more complicated since the harsh sixties. An exhibition in the White Space of the Stedley Art Foundation to coincide with the author’s birthday and the publication by the foundation of two books dedicated to the artist’s work. The exhibition of one work – ‘Self-portrait’ 1967 – is designed to stop us in this turbulent world and invites you to spend time in dialogue with one of the most interesting Ukrainian people of the sixties.
