Mykola Kryvenko (b. 1950) – is an Ukrainian artist, graphic artist. He was born in Kyiv. He graduated from the Republican Art School (1969); the Graphic Department of the Kyiv Art Institute in the studio of G. Havrylenko (1978). Member of the artistic group “Picturesque Reserve” (1992). Member of the Ukrainian Union of Artists. “Minimalism” is a common characteristic of Mykola Kryvenko’s style, which refers, first of all, to a certain asceticism of his palette – mostly pastel, “natural” tones, almost monochrome canvases. But the artistic method for the artist is not an end in itself, with its help he achieves the most subtle, most adequate expression of extremely irrational, pre-conceptual, pre-conceptual states. He lives and works in Kyiv.
