In 2020, we are launching the 9 competition with a new name and a new design. Starting this year, the competition theme will have an author – a kind of “curator” or “research supervisor”. This will not affect the process of selecting finalists and winners. We want to allow the contestants to cooperate with the opinions of experts who are sensitive to the current issues of contemporary art and art criticism. This year, we chose the theme of the famous art critic and researcher Valerii Sakharuk. Hence the theme of the IX Stedley Art Critics Prize: Myths and reality of Ukrainian art.
