VASYL SAD

Vasyl Sad – Ukrainian artist, representative of Odessa nonconformism. Working with color, texture and volume is a meditation for the artist, where a person is absent as an object depicted, but present as a subject who contemplates the beauty of the universe.

He was born in 1948 in the village of Velyki Telkovichi of the Rivne region. He graduated from the Odesa State Art School named after M. B. Grekova (1977). Member of the NSHU (1993). A representative of Odessa nonconformism, one of the founders of the art group “Mamai” (1998), an active participant in apartment exhibitions. Laureate of the All-Ukrainian Triennial of Abstract Art “ART-AKT” (Chernivtsi, 2010). Works are stored in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Odessa Art Museum, Odessa Museum of Modern Art and other museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
