In the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, from November 29, 2022 to April 30, 2023, opened a large exhibition project “At the epicenter of the storm: Modernism in Ukraine 1900-1930s” , designed to introduce the European audience to the diversity of Ukrainian modernism. The exposition presents 69 works from the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the National Museum of Theater, Music and Film Arts of Ukraine, as well as two artworks from the Stedley Art Foundation collection – “Stage design for the first act of Lesya Ukrainka’s poetic play “The Forest Song” by Vasyl Ermilov and Sketch of stage design for the ballet “The Red Poppy” Oleksandr Khvostenko-Khvostov. Both works came to the Foundation from the collection of the prominent Kyiv curator and collector Ihor Dychenko. The mission announced by the Stedley team to study and popularize the heritage of Ihor Dichenko reached the international level.
