Ihor Hryhoriev (1934–1977) — Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. He graduated from the Kyiv
Institute of Art (1959), where he studied under S. Grygoriev and within
creative workshops of the Academy of Arts of USSR in Kiev (1965). He
specialised in easel painting and book illustration. He collaborated
with artists of the underground current – V. Zaretsky, A. Gorska, A.
Lymarev, together with whom they formed the counterculture of sixties.
Representative of the “austere style”. His workshop was a center of
artistic and intellectual opposition, so-called “informal academy”.
