Serhii Otroshchenko (1910–1988) was a Ukrainian-Soviet painter, graphic artist, monumentalist, and theatre designer. Born in Omsk and later active in Ukraine and Moscow, he studied in Odesa and at the Kyiv State Art Institute, becoming a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR in 1941. He regularly participated in regional, all-Union, and international exhibitions, and worked across easel and monumental painting as well as scenography. Throughout his career, Otroshchenko was generally viewed as conformist and loyal to the Soviet authorities, which shaped both his public position and artistic trajectory. His works are held in museum and private collections, and he is also known as the first husband of artist Tetiana Yablonska.
