SUMMARY:Serhiy Zhyvotkov. Postlude
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT \n \n \n \n The Stedley Art Foundation presents a special project of a famous Ukrainian artist Alexander Zhyvotkov “After Words” as part of a concurrent program of the First Kyiv International Biennial of Contemporary Art ARSENALE 2012. Art does not need words.Indeed\, the true essence cannot be expressed in words; it must be sought between the lines. The high pictorial art should contain the things which are not expressed by a language. The artist Alexander Zhyvotkov excels at this kind of painting by letting us “read” his pictures with the help of quotations from ancient books\, textures of cloth and paper\, fine shades of gray\, simple and hidden deep symbols. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n SELECTED GALLERY
